Canada Day Boat Parade - Tuesday, July 1, 2008

Starts in Jacques Bay @ 11:00 AM

Show you pride by decorating your craft and joining our traditional water parade. A guaranteed good time and great way to meet new friends and neighbours.

Boaters - Please refrain from throwing water ballons and shooting water guns. Maintain slow speeds and a steady course - for the safety of all "on parade".



Annual General Meeting and BBQ - Saturday, July 5, 2008

Starts @ 10:00 AM at Free Methodist Church, Cloyne

Come on out and meet your neighbours, SDRA Directors, other volunteers and guest presenters. Get the latest information on development proposed for the area and the SDRA Lake Management Plan. Pick up your Skootamatta clothing order, chat with friends and enjoy the BBQ afterward.



Septic Seminar - Saturday, July 26, 2008

10:00 AM - Barrie Township Hall, Cloyne

Arranged and sponsored by the SDRA. Open to all. Guest speaker, Mark Boone, hydro-geologist with Quinte Conservation will present all you ever wanted and need to know about septic systems; permits, location and installation, pumpouts, and most importantly ... effects and interaction with the environment.



Pot Luck Supper - Saturday, August 9, 2008

4:00 PM - at the Nowell's - 1191 Huges Landing Road

Pot Luck at the Nowells' has grown from 'just a few friends' to a full-blown lake party, with folks from every bay represented. Don't be shy ... this is a great way to meet neighbours from all over the lake. BYOB, chairs, kids, guests ... the whole works - including your favorite food dish(es) and be prepared to enjoy a wonderful evening.



Fireworks - Saturday, August 30, 2008

Starts @ dusk at the causeway on the Hughes Landing Road, (rain date - Sunday August 31)
