Hopefully we can return to the glory of years past after last year's 'non-event' with the terrible weather. Meet new friends and neighbours from all over the lake. "As long as it floats, it's a boat", so come on out and join the fun, but ...

Please refrain from throwing water ballons and shooting water guns. Maintain slow speeds and a steady course - for the safety of all.



ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & BBQ - Saturday, July 3, 2010

Starts @ 10:00 AM at Free Methodist Church, Cloyne

The meeting is open to all property owners in the Skootmatta district. All SDRA members are encouraged to attend, to elect new Directors of the association and see what your membership fees are doing for you. Not a member ? Come on out and find out why you should be! Chat with friends and stay for the BBQ afterward.

The SDRA has expanded its activities considerably over the past several years and will be working hard to get better representation for seasonal residents in the upcoming Fall municipal elections.



FOSSP - EXPLORE THE LAKE & CELEBRATE - Saturday, August 14, 2010

10:00 -12:30 AM - Meet at the north shore beach in the upper lake

Small teams will go off to discover and record all the neat stuff they can find along a stretch of shoreline. Bring your camera, sunscreen, kids, boat for transportation, and your curiosity.

POT LUCK SUPPER - Saturday, August 14, 2010

4:00 PM - at the Nowell's - 1191 Hughes Landing Road

Ron & Esther have indicated they will again host this great annual get-together. Pot-luck fare at this event is always spectacularly delicious. Come by land or sea. Bring your own special pot-luck dish, chairs, drinks, and be prepared for a great evening of conversation with folks from all around the lake. Food and fun for everyone !!



FIREWORKS - Saturday, September 4, 2010

Starts @ dusk at the causeway on the Hughes Landing Road, (rain date - Sunday September 5)

Supported for years by members and non-members alike, this is the highlight of the cottage season for many. Not to be missed.

Please be sure to include your fireworks payment with your 2010 SDRA dues.
