** Skootamatta Lake Festival 1K and 5K Run ————————————————————
** Once again in 2025, the SDRA will host the annual 5K run on the morning of the Lake Festival, Saturday August 9^th. This year, by popular request, we will add a 1K run for the kids. Free registration starts at 8:00 a.m., with the races beginning at 8:30 at Trails End, near the boat launch. Categories are: 5K Race ———————————————————— * Boys under 16, Girls under 16 * Boys 16+, Girls 16+ * Adult Men 40+, Adult Women 40+
1K Race * Boys 10 and under, Girls 10 and under
1^st 2^nd and 3^rd place medals will be awarded in each category. The course starts and ends at Trails End, just as it has in previous years. The 5K course is on Oborne Point Road, an out-and-back route on this hilly gravel road. The 1K course is primarily flat. Get ready – start your training! Don’t want to run but happy to volunteer?
