** Food Bank Donations ———————————————————— Thank you to everyone who donated food in our weekend food drive. Unfortunately, when the SDRA went to do a final pick up of donations the food and bins were gone. Clearly, we are very disappointed to see the bins and food taken, and not be able to provide needed supplies to the food bank. We can only hope it was taken by someone in great need of help and not as a malicious act.
This community, like many others, has been hit hard with a growing crisis of food and housing insecurities. The association is more determined than ever to support our community in need. We will continue to look for ways to gather needed food and donations in ways that reduce this risk. We would love to have more ideas from the membership on ways we could increase our support of the local food bank, and hopefully avoid losing donations in this way going forward.
