** We have been advised that the Township of Addington Highlands has lifted the Full Fire Ban, as of noon today. Unfortunately however, our fireworks supplier was obliged to work with a firm Go-No Go date of August 28^th. The fire ban was still in place through the close of business yesterday so a permit was not obtainable.
As a result, the decision to postpone the show until next year still stands.
Although the Full Fire Ban is no longer in effect, the forest and soil conditions remain very dry and the Open Air Burning regulations still apply. Please continue to exercise extreme caution when using fire outdoors. For more information, you can visit: ————————————————————
