2019 Photo Contest & Quinte Conservation Fall Dam Drawdown

Chainsaws can be heard all over the lake now, which can only mean that winter wood is being prepared and consequently, cottage season is coming close to an end. It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving weekend is only one week away! The good news is that the 2019 Photo Contest has now opened! We have had some fabulous pictures in the past and we are confident there will be many more again this year! HUGE cash prizes of $50, $30 and $20 for First, Second and Third place will be awarded. SDRA members can submit your photos at http://new.skootamatta.ca/photo-contest-submit/.

Two photo submissions per member family only, please.
The deadline for entries is October 15, 2019, at 11:59 pm.

Check out the other entries at: http://new.skootamatta.ca/gallery/.
Entries will be added daily as they come in!

Quinte Conservation has just sent out the notice below.
Fall Dam Drawdown on Skootamatta Lake will begin on October 15, 2019, following the Thanksgiving weekend.
Quinte Conservation has been excellent to deal with in delaying the drawdown until most of us can get our boats out of the water on the long weekend:
