Hi All,

I was away for much of the day today but got back in time to see this gorgeous view of open water on Skootamatta. So the official date for the Great Canadian Skootamatta Ice Contest is April 14. Congratulations to Mike Longo, Wim Kool, Caroline Saunders & David Maclellan and Bob Perin whose guesses were right bang on. We will have a run off at the AGM in July to determine the number one winner.

Hugh Rose reports that parts of the Upper Lake are also open. Though some bays and other areas of the lake are still ice covered it won’t be long before all the ice is gone.
